Xan and Nathaniel Sibley

The Sibleys

Hey! We're Xan & Nathaniel.

Our story

Not perfect, just really invested.

We got married young and passionate, and figured out pretty quickly that passion alone doesn't build a great marriage. Intention does. Rhythm does. Showing up, especially on the days it's inconvenient, does.

We're parents of three, we run a business together, we love Jesus, and we argue about dishes like every other couple on the planet. One Degree started because we wanted to share the tools and rhythms that actually helped us, not the ones that sound nice in theory.

Our philosophy is simple: you don't need to overhaul your marriage. You need to shift it one degree, and then do it again next week.

Our mission is to help couples put Christ first and make simple, one-degree shifts in their marriage every day.

A single degree of change, sustained over years, leads somewhere completely different. We believe that's true in navigation, and it's absolutely true in marriage.

What we believe

The One Degree values

Christ at the center

A covenant marriage, built on something more than feelings, is the foundation everything else rests on.

Small beats dramatic

Grand gestures fade. Weekly rhythms compound. We're about the unglamorous, consistent work that actually moves the needle.

Real life, not ideal life

We're building this with three kids, a business, and very full calendars. If it doesn't work in the chaos of real life, we're not interested.

Both of you matter

One Degree is for couples, not just wives or just husbands. Growing together means both people showing up.

Practical over preachy

We want to give you a template, a conversation guide, a rhythm, not just another thing to feel guilty about.

Long-game thinking

We're playing a 40-year game. The investment you make today is for the couple you're becoming, not just the couple you are.

The couple that invests together, stays together, and actually likes each other along the way.

We started the One Degree Marriage Podcast in 2022, and it's grown into a community of thousands of couples choosing to invest, one conversation, one template, one degree at a time.
