Gift Guide For Her (Gifts She Actually Wants)

This is a roundup of my favorite gift ideas for the Christian women in your life: your sister, mom, friend, mentor. It's thoughtfully curated and hopefully inspiring and exciting to read, but before we go further, we wanted to take a second to address the heart behind gifts in this season:

The Heart Behind Gifting

We know that the heart of Christmas isn't gifts. Advent is a time where we pause for an extended period to reflect on the greatest gift this world has ever received: Jesus Christ. During this time, some will celebrate with family traditions of decorating or sharing special meals. Some will hang lights or light candles. Some will package up toys to send in shoeboxes abroad. At the heart of the season is to align our hearts and minds on the celebration of the birth of our Savior, and we know that many of us do this through giving one another gifts.

Jesus was a gift from the ultimate giver, God Himself. He gave his only begotten Son so that we could live eternally and experience the fullness of His joy. He has made us in His image and deeply loved us. Knowing this truth, we can reflect his image as gift-givers when we create our shopping lists for others this season. The Lord delights in giving us good gifts, just as we delight in giving great gifts to those we cherish in our lives.

This guide is some of my (Xan) favorite gift ideas specifically for Christian women. While all of these gifts are lovely, remember that the amount spent or the quantity purchased for someone isn't what matters at all. The simple opportunity to be intentional and reflect God's love in our joyful giving is what matters.
